This fictional event is inspired by one of college life's most baffling phenomena: losing my socks in washing machines. Often I would insert a pair and, in some weird cosmic occurrence, only have one returned to me.
Rather than accepting this simple loss, I imagined this inexplicable affair as a relocation. Somewhere behind the drum, perhaps in another dimension imbued with the aroma of detergent, all those missing socks gathered. They are, in a way, thriving together. Single Socks Social marks the event.
